Letting You Know Some Of What Has Been Going On In The World Of Island Love WI.
We figured it was time to touch base with y’all again and give y’all a quick update.
So, we delivered on some of the promises that we made y’all during our last update. We have updated the quality of our visuals. We’ve tightened up the look of the website and given you the content that you’re used to us giving.
There are a few surprises and new things that you can expect to get from us. But for now, hopefully you all are just enjoying the content that we are putting out there.
The Update, Of Our Visuals (Pics and Videos).
The truth is it really is just exciting and a rush to be able to put out content that you all value. Moreover, it is very gratifying to be able to help mirror some of the amazing work that Soca artists are doing. Work, is an inescapable part of life.
The secret sauce though, is to do the work that you love. So that it never actually feels like work. Soca music, is an exceptionally consistent genre, as recently stated in our article on Soca DJ’s. Soca artists definitely deserve their flowers for putting out exceptional Soca Music, year round and every year.
Between the writers, producers and artists, (to say the least) Soca Music is definitely in safe hands!!!! However, as that article argues, the only weak link, might be Soca DJ’s. For more on this, check out the article.
The Update On Soca (Artists, DJ’s) & Trinidad Carnival 2026.
One of the things we are most proud of is representing Soca Music in a positive light. In addition to this, it is also really cool to be able to capture and share some of the amazing work that Soca Artists are doing.
Lady Lava, Ravi B, Coutain, Christo, Destra and Full Blown have all proven to be popular on our YouTube Channel. With Destra Garcia already making it into our top ten videos of all time. It currently is our 7th most watched video ever. Whilst our Coutain video is our 11th most watched video ever.
Admittedly, our channel is below Mr Beast’s level. Nevertheless, making it into the top ten on our channel is nothing to smirk at, with the likes of Alison Hinds (1), Jada Kingdom (2), Shenseea (3) Romain Virgo (4) and Kassav (5) holding the top five spots.
Whilst our Coutain video has eventually slowed down now. The Destra video is still gaining views and there is just no telling, how high, that video will go.
Final Update: To Be Great, Never Procrastinate. Do More To Get More & 2026, Will Be Epic!
Clearly, some people are having a tough time in T&T right now and things are less active and high octane than usual. However, it is better that we have a mas where there are less fetes than usual. Than no mas at all.
So the best thing we can do is to be grateful for whatever mas we get. Hopefully Jouvert will be Jouvert and the mas will be mas on both Monday and Tuesday. Better yet, hopefully the challenges will motivate people to release whatever tension they’ve been carrying and end up making the 2026 Trinidad Carnival, one to remember.
We definitely still have a lot of content (both articles and videos) that we plan to share with you. We hope that you enjoy it all and that 2026 is your best year ever!
