It’s Destiny, For Jada Kingdom To Take Over Dancehall Music?

Who Runs The World?

Way before Jada Kingdom. Since the beginning of time until now, human beings have probably attempted to dissect, theorize and attain power. The great and legendary James Brown once famously sang that:

“It’s a man’s world, but it would mean nothing without a woman”.

Tupac Shakur, considered by many to be the greatest rapper of all time, and whose impact was and is global in one of his songs once proffered that it was: ” a white man’s world”.

However, according to Beyoncé Knowles, Girls run the world and Nicki Minaj was even more specific when she rapped: “Caribbean girls run it, ask Riri (Rihanna). If nothing else, this topic of who runs the world is definitely inspiration for a spirited debate. However, one look at our video of Jada Kingdom’s Full Live Performance and it is crystal clear that both Beyonce Knowles and Nicki Minaj may well have been onto something.

Jada Kingdom Performed Like A Boss!!!!

From the very moment Jada takes the stage, her power over the crowd is apparent. Almost immediately, you can hear the crowd start singing along to Jada Kingdom’s song. You also see Twinkle (Jada) sashay on stage and pose, allowing for both human and articifical eyes (cameras) to get the chance to feast on the spectacle, the more than snack, the full course meal, that is Jada Kingdom. The term eye candy, fails dramatically at capturing the levels of fine that Jada Kingdom is. With the looks of a Supermodel and the body that women all over the world regularly go under the knife for to try and attain – it’s fair to say that a star of Twinkle’s caliber, is nothing regular – as she herself sings in one of her lyrics.

Nevertheless, if one pays attention, it is obvious that Jada Kingdom’s music plays a big part in explaining her powerful performance. Again, this is clear from the way the crowd knows all the words to Jada Kingdom’s songs and needed no cue or prod from Jada, to begin singing along. One of the most intriguing things about Jada Kingdom is the way she is relevant and influential to both women and men simultaneously for both the same and different reasons.

Clearly, Jada Kingdom is a boss!

Living in the world on her terms and unmoved by what anybody else may have to say about that. Whether the rest of us love or loathe Jada Kingdom, her honest, open, take it or leave it type of energy is refreshing, admirable and it commands respect. In a world where women have long been told what to and still are being told what to do, Jada Kingdom’s example is almost certainly a liberating and welcome one for women. Indeed, if one really pays attention, at about 5:30 minutes into Jada Kingdom’s performance, you’ll notice what looks like Jada Kingdom’s (male) media personnel staff discreetly helping Jada Kingdom remove her heels mid performance. This simple example speaks to Jada Kingdom’s cool way of ruling – her power speaks volumes – but if you’re inattentive, it will go right over your head.

For men, Jada Kingdom is fantasy meeting reality: looks to die for, with a body that people pray for, plus a powerful and strong mind that has written lyrics that have enabled Jada Kingdom to go from Jamaica, to all over the rest of the world performing her very own music.

The Twinkle Way

Sometimes during live performances an artist might sing a song of another artist that might connect with the crowd in a particular location, or basically bring something of value, to a performance. Jada Kingdom though, seems to be the type of artist that will rarely do this – less because there is something wrong with doing so and more because – Jada Kingdom is just too Jada Kingdom to do so. It seems Jada Kingdom is so much in her lane that all that exists is her lane and honestly, this is an amazing thing because as all discerning Dancehall fans know, Jada Kingdom is only just getting warmed up as an artist and performer. Which is really exciting for Dancehall fans and necessary. (By the way, Jada Kingdom is already being called the Queen Of Dancehall by some). Jada Kingdom has gotten it out the mud and the same way she did that is the same way she is conquering more real estate in the heads of Dancehall music fans day by day.

Needless to say, Dancehall music is in a weird place where people can and do debate whether Dancehall Music is alive or dead. We’re going to avoid getting into that debate right now, however, the fact that that debate is even a thing in and of itself – points to the fact that Dancehall’s health is questionable.

As far as we can see, the root cause of the problem is that for the first time in, maybe forever, Jamaican (especially Dancehall) artists are singing over hip hop beats. Now, of course, part of being an Artist is experimentation, after all art has no rules and should be free of boundaries. However, the extent to which Dancehall artists are singing over Non Dancehall or Hip Hop beats, definitely calls into question the health of the genre in our opinion.

However, Jada Kingdom is very good for Dancehall’s health. First of all, nobody’s reign of Dancehall – or anything else for that matter – lasts forever. Like Lion King most eloquently depicted, at some point Simba has to take over from Mufasa – this is just how nature has ordered things.

A Cool Ruler And Calm Killer.

Secondly, as alluded to above, Jada Kingdom seems to have natural leadership abilities that resonate with both male and female fanbases. Moreover, it is impossible to rule as a Queen or a King of a genre without being the people’s choice

Here are some comments/feedback showing people’s reaction to Jada Kingdom’s live performance:

Suffice to say that Jada Kingdom has the confidence and adoration of a whole lot of Dancehall fans. Furthermore, if it is true what Shakespeare said, about the head that wears the crown being a heavy one. Jada Kingdom has shown signs of being more than capable of carrying that weight.

Notably, Jada Kingdom has done Dancehall a lot of good with her somewhat recent clash with Steff London. As all Dancehall fans know, clashing is a fundamental part of Dancehall music. Arguably, clashes in Dancehall music make for the most epic chapters of Dancehall history. Whether it’s Vybz Kartel versus Movado, Vybz Kartel Versus Ninja Man, Beenie Man Versus Bounty Killer or some other epic clash it almost certainly is a given that whoever would venture to don the Crown Of Dancehall would need to be able to clash anybody else in Dancehall and still end up being the last one standing. The clash between Jada Kingdom and Steff London was again, good for Dancehall in general and both ladies got to show off their lyrical weaponry and competitive spirit, however, Jada Kingdom clearly won that war in our humble opinion.

Furthermore, Jada Kingdom’s catalogue is looking like a major reason why Dancehall’s crown may really be in Jada’s destiny. Jada Kingdom’s musical versatility, is underpinned by Jada Kingdom’s strong sense of who she is. Which means Jada Kingdom is able to experiment with her sound and show off her versatility without her identity or authenticity being called into question.

One look at the popular video’s tab on Jada Kingdom’s YouTube page and the first video you see is Top Tier with a 18 million views from a year ago. If you search Jada Kingdom via a search engine, you will see that Jada Kingdom’s latest single G.A.D. (Girls Are Drugs) is creating more brand new buzz for Jada Kingdom (it dropped about a week ago) and all of this is giving Simba!!!! If there is a changing of the guard or a new Queen in Dancehall
it very well could be Jada Kingdom!!!!

(Don’t say we never told you so!!!!)

Whether it’s GPP, Top Tier, WiN, Tek It, Which Gyal or Jada Kingdom’s breakout hit, Love Situations (from 7 years ago), it’s fair to categorize Jada Kingdom’s success as having zero dust on it!!!!

Again, it’s giving Simba!!!!

Moreover, if your familiar with the literary classic Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, it generally takes human beings either 10,000 hours or Ten years of hard work, for us to achieve mastery. What is the relevance of this, well, Jada Kingdom is about 7 years into her career as a Dancehall Artist. She is edging towards that 10,000 or Ten year mark where mastery is achieved – so again, Jada Kingdom is to be taken seriously.

Furthermore, as great as Jada Kingdom’s performance was, her Dancehall catalogue is so great that real Dancehall or Jada Kingdom fans probably sneakily had at least one song they wished Jada Kingdom performed that they never got to see Jada perform.

For us, that song is Last Night (feel free to comment, if there was a song you wish Jada Kingdom performed at Stink and Dutty in Trinidad?)

It’s hard to say why, but that song is just a vibe!!!!!

What Jada Kingdom is able to do is lead Dancehall fans on a varied journey, (and here is the important part), Dancehall fans follow. For our part, we’re just here to call it like we see it. You probably see Jada Kingdom’s potential – much like we do. However, whether you see Jada Kingdom’s
potential or not, we’re just happy to be able to witness Jada Kingdom be Jada Kingdom.

Finally, another part of reality that has existed since the beginning of time is sex appeal. Dancehall music, more than most other genres, feeds off of sex appeal. (The only other genres that ooze sex anywhere close to as much as Dancehall is Slow Jams – a sub genre of RnB and Reggaeton).

When it comes to sex appeal Jada Kingdom is probably second to none in Dancehall but, Jada Kingdom’s sex appeal is both physical and more.

In addition to Jada’s looks and bawdy, Jada Kingdom, knows how to use her sex appeal. Actually, be not fooled, Jada Kingdom has weaponized her sex appeal and is very much using this weapon to go on an offensive to takeover Dancehall. Doubt it if you want to but, one thing you can never say it that we never told you so. In addition to all this, Jada’s strength, success, growth, catalogue and even love life (i.e. rumored celebrity relationships e.g. Pardy, Burna Boy etc) All add to the allure and explain why Jada Kingdom is so desired by so many. All these factors that we have listed in this article serve to show why Jada Kingdom may well be fit to wear the Dancehall crown one day soon!!!!

One of the inescapable takeaways from watching Jada Kingdom’s live performance is that Jada Kingdom is an appropriate name for her, because she surely has the potential to rule atop
the genre of Dancehall Music. Jada Kingdom aka Twinkle is a Dancehall Superstar with no limits to how far she can go or how bright she can shine.

We will leave you all with this simple fact, Jada Kingdom’s latest single G.A.D. (Girls are drugs) is released off of Jada Kingdom’s own label (Kingdom Mab).
Say what you want but to us it is clear Jada Kingdom is very much on some Queen type of timing!!!!
