Clear The Way, For Triple Kay.
There is something very special about Triple Kay International.
To be fair, there is something special about Bouyon Music and every Bouyon Band that is out. However, what stands out about Triple Kay International is the way their music catalogue speaks to both traditional and modern Bouyon Music. Right now and for years, Bouyon Music has held most of the Caribbean under its pulsating and captivating sway. All current indications are that Bouyon Music in 2025, is continuing its unspoken aim of taking over the world.
Impactful Ambassadors Of Bouyon Music.
Triple Kay International, are a very big part of this push. Part of the reason for this is of course that Triple Kay have recent Bouyon hits that are responsible for spreading Bouyon’s influence from Dominica, to throughout the Caribbean and beyond.
However, after having watched Triple Kay International perform live, there is way more to TK (Triple Kay) than just this. To get straight to the point. Watching Triple Kay perform live is like jumping on a rollercoaster. This is because a TK performance is sure to get your pulse racing, your heart beating fast and your energy all the way up.
This is of course partially due to the BPM (beats per minute) that Bouyon music operates at. However, it is also due to the emotion that listening to a live guitar play, arouses. Moreover, TK’s music is particularly powerful because their art is a reflection of the Bouyon lifestyle that they actually live.
Like other prolific Bouyon Bands e.g. Signal Band and WCK, TK perform their music on the road as part of Carnival. This authenticity oozes out of their performances. Moreover, it also provides an opportunity for TK and their fans to deepen their connections with each other as both parties get to be about that Bouyon life, during performances.
About That Bouyon Life.
In the peak of Carnival time, Triple Kay’s performance stood out as embodying Carnival/Jouvert the most, as whistles, water and powder were present in large amounts whilst TK performed.
If there is a potential downside that comes with watching artists perform. It is being relegated to just watching and playing a secondary role, as an artist performs on center stage.
With TK, this usual drawback was emphatically avoided as the Jouvert Bacchanal made it so that the stage included what was happening in the crowd too.
Gone was the usual division between what was on the stage and what was off it. With TK, everywhere became part of one gigantic stage as everybody moved and got on to the Bouyon Music.
We Are Better Together.
Transforming a stage from being a platform to publicly display your greatness. To also being inclusive, is all fans can ask from artists. Triple Kay International pulled that off and hopefully, this is something they do every time they touch the stage. As mentioned in a previous article, coming together and feeling a part of something bigger than yourself, is probably as good as it gets for us human beings. Triple Kay really had us feeling as one!
Speaking of feeling like one, TK even went so far as to represent for Bouyon as a whole by covering other currently hot Bouyon songs created by other Bouyon artists and bands. It is this openhearted, putting aside of egos approach, that was responsible for making TK’s performance special.
The truth is, TK fans are most definitely fans of Bouyon music as a whole and TK performing their music, as well as that of other Bouyon bands/artists meant fans won – twice over!!
Moreover, being an ambassador for Bouyon as a whole is definitely the way to go right now. Bouyon Music’s potential is unknown and arguably bigger and brighter, than many other Caribbean genres of music. By putting on for and being ambassadors for Bouyon as a whole, TK are maximising on Bouyon Music’s opportunities, for it to reach its full potential.
Triple Kay International as individual artists and as a group, made sure that they shone bright and they ensured that their fans and Bouyon Music as a whole, did too.
