It's All About You. (Young man looks at himself in the mirror).

One Thing Is Certainly True, It’s All About You.

Your BFF

You are the most important person for you to have in your corner.

The only way that you can truly be someone that you can depend on is by building yourself, brick by brick. In other words, action, living, trial and error is the only for you to slowly but surely grow from a Caterpillar – to a Butterfly (so to speak).

The point here is that life is a race that you have to run. You may win, lose or even draw. However, the outcome is less important than the fact that you have begun your race, your journey that is guaranteed to end with you being a better version of yourself.

Live Life Your Way.

It is impossible for you to go backwards. To a certain extent we all are on a conveyor belt or treadmill. Forward moving is mandatory the only question is, are you going to allow yourself to be moved in a random direction or be intentional about the direction your life goes in.

Arguably, the greatest question we can ever ask ourselves is: what do we want? Admittedly, none of us can predict the next minute let alone the future in general. However, as discussed in a previous article, arguably trying to impose your will on life and manifesting your best life, is what living is all about.

Moreover, arguably the you after you have shot your shot (regardless of whether your shot went in) is a wiser custodian of your life than the you that never even took the shot.

Life is going to life no matter what.

Therefore, it is your best interest for you to do you and join the fun. Being a part of the process of life is what living is. Life is less about being great and more about trying to be great. Missing the target is human – who could fault you for that? The only thing one can honestly be faulted for is effort. Zero effort, or only half trying is the true identity of failure because, again, it’s all about effort. Arguably, the only way you can really discover who you are is after you have tried your hardest and put forward your best effort. In some ways, your personal best is a summary, a snapshot of who you are.

However, obviously, even that is subject to change. Your personal best can regress, or improve. Moreover, novelty is a thing too. You always have the liberty of becoming a new you. Admittedly, your time is limited but, you are always free to change how you spend your time. If you have enough free time, you can add a new passion that you can pursue. A new hairstyle, a new look, a new friend, a new book. Life’s possibilities are endless and nothing is stopping you from allowing more novelty into your life.

Your Dear Desires.

Rather than trying to see into the future, perhaps you should try something presently and then decide where you stand after you process that new experience.

If the power of words in the written form is real, maybe it’s a good idea for you to have a to do list. Instead of being random and unplanned about how you live your life. You can be really intentional and map out all the things you deem important in your life. Moreover, by being specific and writing things down. Chances are you have increased the clarity with which you can articulate exactly what it is you want from life. Knowing what you want out of life is the first step towards getting what you want from life. Being engaged and in tune with your passions, literally helps us feel alive.

That feeling, is everything, because it is by no means results based or due to outcome. On the contrary, being engaged and passionate is a way of life. That is a part of the journey and the very process of living. Arguably, we all can live with the outcomes if we all got to go through our journey’s of life, in this way.

The person in the mirror, is the main person responsible for your happiness. For this reason it makes sense that you get to know that person extremely well. It is also a great idea for you to invest in that person completely. That is: emotionally, mentally, physically, holistically. The person in the mirror is the one most capable of destroying you. Similarly, the person in the mirror is also one of the most loyal people to you that you can count on. Given the importance of that person in the mirror, i.e. you, getting the best out of them would be a really cool thing. However, the journey of you becoming your best self tomorrow, starts today.
