Bounty Killer is a certified Dancehall Thriller.

Bounty Killer Can Slay All Day

Everything Bounty Killer does is impactful. One of the reasons behind Bounty Killer’s decades of Dancehall success is his personality. Bounty has no doubts about who he is and what he stands for.

When you attend a Bounty Killer concert, you are sure to hear, understand and feel what Bounty has to say. For Bounty Killer is an exceptional communicator. You can of course disagree with him but you will understand and feel where Killer is coming from.

From the moment Bounty Killers takes the stage, his performance kicks in. Bounty Killer is a born performer and Bounty Killer demonstrates that instantly!!!!

What makes Bounty stand out from an average Dancehall artist is that he is a natural entertainer, with a personality that has a superstar quality. On top of all that is also that Bounty is very in tune with his sense of humanity. Which makes it easy and second nature for Bounty Killer to connect with audiences in a blink.

Furthermore, whilst we are in a living in a time we’re many Dancehall artists either spend significant time in the US or live there (eg Vybz Kartel, Spice, Shenseea). At a time when Dancehall artists often sing over Hip Hop beats. Bounty Killer’s musical roots stretch back past the era of Dancehall music to Ragga music. In other words, Bounty is able to supply Dancehall fans with a raw and pure 100% Jamaican form of music that literally no longer exists. All of which means Bounty’s music has a level of authenticity that is simply unattainable for most Dancehall artists.

Here is a quick peak of what we mean:

Bounty’s deep voice, sometimes aggressive and belligerent style. Are also attributes that are rare in the Dancehall music of today.
But more than Bounty Killer roots going back to Ragga. Bounty Killer also has a versatility and a musical pallette that also distinguishes Bounty Killer from the average Dancehall artist.

Arguably and weirdly, we live in a time where the music industry and various musical genres in particular are struggling or have seemed to be. RnB, Hip Hop, Afrobeats, Dancehall, Reggae, Soca, Pop music, all of these genres have shown signs of struggling.

Obviously, this is natural. After all, change is one of the few guarantees in life. However, it is exactly in times like this where artists like Bounty Killer get to benefit from their longevity as they enable people to experience music from the past, live and in the present.

However, Bounty Killer can do two things. He can make music fans feel some euphoric nostalgia by performing classic hits from his catalogue. In addition, Bounty Killer can and does tap into past greatness from other genres of music too.

For these reasons, when encountering Bounty Killer, a music fan literally is faced with a Dancehall heavyweight that does what only few others in Dancehall can do. That is command a stage and take things in a number of directions at a moment’s notice.  breathing rare air. Bounty Killer is a rough and tough Kingstonian (that knows his way around a Dancehall clash) and is one half of arguably the greatest clash in Dancehall history. Never shy to make a gun tune, yet always sure to let the youth know to stay away from guns and negativity in real life.

Having survived being shot himself and being one of the baddest artists from Jamaica. Bounty Killer’s influence and voice definitely is relevant and valid for up and coming ghetto youths of today. Which is exactly why Bounty Killer’s value surpasses that of just being an artist. Mr Rodney Price is a son of the ghetto – from one of the toughest on earth.

So when Bounty speaks to ghetto youths about ghetto life and choices, his audience are likely to give his message some consideration. There are a lot of words that people can use to describe Bounty Killer. Some of which would be, open, honest, down to earth, transparent – all of which points to a word many would use to describe Killer as – authentic.
One can either agree or disagree with Killer. Nevertheless, one thing you are almost certain to do is know where Bounty stands, as well as why this is the case and respect him for it.

As Bounty alluded to himself, Killer is someone unafraid to pick a side and let people know where he stands. In a world where things often are a shade of grey. Killer is anything but grey. Still full of life and energy, Bounty is a sight to behold, a spectacle. Full of stage presence and a natural attention magnet. Bounty’s body language lets people know who he is, even if they never knew. Part of this stems from the fact that Killer knows exactly who he is. Which tends to leave the rest of us in no doubt.

Killer even went so far as to ask the rhetorical question: why did they bestow the honor of OD pon an OG like me? Comfortable with broaching the question because OD Rodney Price already knows the answer and knows he has earned his respect in Dancehall and the World. With other, less experienced, less accomplished artists, it can be hard to find or capture picture perfect moments. This is in stark contrast to Bounty Killer. Who literally looks like poetry in motion.

Even when Bounty is saying nothing with his mouth, his body language, is speaking volumes. So much of what Bounty brings to the table is unteachable and rarely found elsewhere. The best way to explain it all is to simply say, there is only one Bounty Killer. Without whom Dancehall as we know it, would never exist.
