Put Some Respect On The Name Claudette Peters!!!!
Real Soca fans, know that Claudette Peters is the truth!!!!
One thing that comes with the territory of small island life is, obscurity. Nevertheless, that same “obscurity” often translates into peace. Much like Soca music, Claudette Peters is amazing. CP is a blessing, the type of artist that deserves more accolades, even, than she has already garnered.
How so, or why you may ask? Well, firstly, Claudette Peters is all types of fine and has been so for longer than some people have been alive. Let, that, sink, in, for a moment!!!! With apparently green eyes, beautiful feet, the legs of an athlete and more curves than a Compass!!!!
It is fair to say that Claudette Peters is highly attractive. To take an educated guess, Claudette Peters is a happily married woman. However, Claudette definitely has the attractiveness, appeal, starpower and brand that would likely earn CP more money in sponsorship deals if she was based in a bigger market.
No Place Like Home.
Notwithstanding, would leaving Antigua and Barbuda for an increase in earning potential be worth it? Probably no. What small islands lack in market size and earning potential, they tend to make up for with overall quality of life. Which makes Claudette’s love for Antigua and Barbuda very underststandable.
Leaving the little piece of paradise that is the 268 would be like trying to go forward by taking 3 steps backwards (nonsense).
It is true, that being underappreciated at home and abroad is what often comes with living on small island territory. However, being overlooked aside, real ones know and appreciate Claudette Peters’ value. After all, judging by her performances, Claudette Peters knows exactly who she is and what she is worth.
Which means outside validation is unnecessary.
Claudette Peters Has A Legacy To Be Proud Of.
After all, Claudette Peters’ name is synonymous with Antiguan Soca. She has achieved, despite her small island roots, significant recognition, locally, regionally and internationally too.
Claudette Peters is the first female Soca Monarch winner on her island and the amount of Soca Monarch crowns she’s won is in the double figures!!!! Her respect and position in the Soca world can rest assured with tunes like Something Got A Hold On Me and Dung Dey having earned real estate in the hearts & minds of Soca Music fans worldwide!!!!

Moreover, more than the outstanding looks, perfect body and vocals. One of the things that REALLY makes Claudette stand out is her ENERGY. Sis can really perform. CP embodies her lyrics on stage in a way that only a true Soca person, a true Reveller, a true performer can.
When you check it out and do the math, CP really does bring a lot to the table.
Easily one of the best and most influential representatives of the 268. It is only right for it to be said that Antiguans and Barbudans need to make sure they appreciate Claudette.
Better Together.
Small island people and Caribbean people in general, need to do a better job of appreciating our own. The hypocrisy of wanting it both ways needs to stop. On the one hand, Caribbean people will point out that such and such a person left the island and never ever came back. However, can this be a surprise, when we fail to appreciate and fully support those that stay and champion our causes?

Claudette Peters has been representing Antigua and Barbuda from day one until now. Rather than needing representation from elsewhere, thanks to CP, Antiguans and Barbudans have authentic local representation that ought to be cherished and appreciated.
Moreover, to get slightly controversial, some questioned Ricardo Drue’s authenticity when he was alive, as Drue himself has admitted. Fast forward to a day like today and obviously, Ricardo Drue is no longer even here (may he rest in peace).
The point here is that life is short. Therefore time is best spent supporting who we like and no time should be wasted criticising. Do you and allow others the same freedom, period.
As far as Antigua and Barbuda goes, thank goodness for Claudette Peters.

Her amazing contribution to Antigua and Barbuda, the Caribbean and ultimately the world is profound. Despite the number of people who are aware of said contribution.
We know firsthand that CP is no one to be taken lightly. CP, is who we want to see!!!!
